Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Advisory Committee
Sovereign has established Regional Advisory Committees of community leaders and non-profit organizations who provide advice and guidance to Sovereign Bank on the changing lending and investment needs of our communities. These committees support affirmative lending, monitor lending practices, identify low- and moderate-income housing and commercial lending opportunities, review CRA products and community and economic development grants.

Community Investment Committee
An internal bank committee established to oversee the implementation and performance of the bank's commitment to community investment, as well as compliance with CRA and Fair Lending laws.  The committee is comprised of senior business managers that have responsibility to oversee the programs, policies, and procedures necessary for the bank to fulfill its commitment to community investment.
